Role Description The BIM Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows across multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring accurate and consistent digital models throughout all project stages. The BIM Coordinator will oversee model setup, clash detection, and information exchange between architecture, structural, and MEP disciplines, and will support design teams in applying BIM standards and best practices. Daily tasks include maintaining project templates, enforcing naming and documentation conventions, preparing model-based reports and visualizations, and collaborating closely with project managers to align BIM deliverables with project schedules and client requirements. The role also involves training and supporting team members on BIM tools, troubleshooting model issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of Shaker’s BIM processes.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in BIM Coordination and Building Information Modeling (BIM), including model management, clash detection, and adherence to BIM standards.
• Candidates should possess skills in Architecture and a solid understanding of multidisciplinary building design principles, including coordination with structural and other design disciplines.
• Candidates should possess skills in Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination, with the ability to integrate MEP models into overall project workflows.
• Candidates should possess skills in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, and managing BIM deliverables in alignment with project timelines and client requirements.
• Proficiency in industry-standard BIM software (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 or similar platforms) and familiarity with CAD tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and data integrity.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with on-site and office-based stakeholders.
