Reporting to

Project director, service line lead, or head of department

Role

Oversee, coordinate, and manage progress and coordination for a package, an individual project, or multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Manage the development of the client brief and project execution plans to suit the specific requirements of the project.

Deliver full design management and manage design teams in developing design solutions that meet the client’s expectations and budget.

Oversee and advise on the local government approvals process.

Administer complex building contracts, proactively managing and confirming contractors’ and consultants’ compliance with contract terms and conditions.

Manage the compilation of tender documents and critically review tender returns, contract negotiations, contract awards, and client reporting.

Ensure the team adheres to project documentation, programs, master budgets, and other requirements.

Deliver client and internal reports to suit relevant project stages.

Deliver projects within the framework of risk, sustainability, and environmental considerations agreed at the business case or client brief stage, while maintaining a focus on time, cost, and quality.

Manage and report on the contractor’s progress against the contract program.

Manage external consultant teams and internal design managers to ensure that the design complies with the contract.

Manage consultant teams to ensure that the built product complies with the contract.

Perform other related duties as required, supporting team members across disciplines and the wider division.

Experience and skills

Good report-writing and communication skills.

Fluency in spoken and written English.

Relevant technical knowledge and experience.

Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software.

Familiarity with health and safety standards.

Good experience in contracts.

Excellent resource, planning, and time management skills.

Qualifications

At least 10 years of combined academic and related industry experience in engineering, architecture, or construction, plus experience in hospitality projects.

PMP certification is an advantage.
