Your Job

We are looking for Junior Electrical Power Engineer to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical power systems within an industrial environment. The role will focus on electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement of power generation and distribution equipment.

The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance, production, engineering, and other technical teams to ensure high equipment reliability and compliance with electrical safety requirements.

What You Will Do

• Support the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power generation and distribution systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities for:
  
  

- Diesel generators

• Medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) switchgear
• Motor Control Centres (MCCs)
  
  

AC motors

• Power transformers
• Power and control cables
• Industrial and building lighting systems.
• Diagnose electrical faults and support root cause analysis to minimize equipment downtime and improve reliability.
• Inspect electrical equipment and identify potential failures or unsafe operating conditions.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Support testing and maintenance of electrical protection systems.
• Ensure maintenance activities are performed according to applicable electrical safety standards and safe work practices.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical reports, and equipment history.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to electrical reliability, power quality, energy efficiency, and maintenance effectiveness.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams during maintenance activities, shutdowns, equipment upgrades, and technical projects.
• Support maintenance planning and work-order management through applicable CMMS/EAM systems.
  
  

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably Electrical Power Engineering.
• Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance or power systems.
• Practical experience with:
• Power generation and distribution systems
• Diesel generators
• MV and LV switchgear
• MCCs and AC motors
• Power transformers
• Power and control cables
• Industrial and building lighting systems
• Basic knowledge of electrical protection, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards and safe work practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  
  

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience with UPS systems, battery chargers, and DC systems.
• Exposure to power quality and energy management.
• Familiarity with SAP PM, IBM Maximo, or other CMMS/EAM systems.
• Experience or knowledge of HVAC systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and power-system analysis software such as ETAP is a plus.
